If you would like to help continue this tradition, bake/burn a cake and bring it along. If you already know what recipe you will be using, fill out the form below.

Pork Pie Race

Some people may remember the Great Egg Race, a contest of scientific and engineering ingenuity in which an egg is propelled as far as possible by a self-contained device using mechanically stored energy.
Intervention intends to resurrect the fannish version of this event as the Brian Burgess Memorial Pork Pie Race (many con-goers will attest to the powerful link which Brian forged between fandom and the pork pie). Entries are invited in two categories - devices built before the convention, and those built from materials available at the con itself.
Full rules, size of regulation pie and so forth are available from the Federation Internationale des Mechanismes de Pork Pie (aka the Fan Lounge, e-mail intervention@minervatech.u-net.com)
